Please Read: This Blog is Set Up A Bit Differently

Hello Friends!

This blog is set up different than usual. Blogger lets you leave comments on the main "Home" page (this one), but not on any of the other pages where I have the cool photos and posts. I have categorized and organized the home related topics taken my main blog, Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy. Those pages stay static, except when I add things to them.

So, in my attempt to outsmart the system, this is how it will work. On the top of the sidebar, there are pages numbered 1-10. Please look and enjoy, and then come back here and leave your comments or suggestions under the appropriate page topic.

It isn't hard to do at all, it is just different.

I am also trying two other things that I haven't seen before and still need to figure out how to set up. One is a Swap Meet. If it takes off, I may have to expand it to a separate linked page. There may be a small fee to post and sell items on there, because I am now in need of a paying job.

The other cool thing I thought of is to have a permanent linky Show and Tell party, so that you guys can post your pretties on here at any time. I still need to figure out how to set that up too.

Thank you so much for your encouragement on this blog and on my Oregon Gifts. Remember, Oregon Gifts has a Facebook Page, and I am going to set one up for Kathy's Picks also. I am very happy to add your decorating and/or home related blog link to my sidebar. Just let me know that you want to be featured if I don't get to you on my own.

You can email me at: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com

Take care and God bless!

#5 - Tea Cups and Tea Settings

Tea Cup Tuesday: Bright Color and M.E.

On this day before the snow hits around here, I wanted to post something cheery and bright.  I love my M.E. things, most are gifts from my girls, my friend Patty and my sister Julie.  All the way around, when I look at these pretties, they bring me joy.  I hope they do the same for you too.  Oh, the vintage suitcase was Cary's grandfather's.

I participated in Lady Katherine's Tea Time Tuesday with this post, and visited the other nice blog ladies who linked up there today.  You will not be disappointed if you do the same, I just know it!

Tea Time Tuesday

Bloom where you are planted ....

... and serve up a cup of kindness!

This is my first time participating in Tea Time Tuesday.  These are two of my M.E. cups that were given to me as gifts over the years.  I love them.

Since I have been joining these weekly "show and tell" sessions, I have been so impressed with all of you lovely ladies out there in blog land.  There are so many wonderful blogs!   If I would have known that before I began mine two years ago, I might have been very intimidated to even begin one.  It really isn't that hard to do a blog, but it can take up lots of your time.  It is a lot of fun.  Please don't be afraid to start your own blog if you have been thinking about it.  Blogger has made many improvements, and it is very user friendly.  Other people use Word Press, Type Pad and other programs.

I am meeting so many amazing blogging people all at once, that sometimes I get confused on who is who.  I am going to have to reorganize my blog lists, and sorting them into categories soon!  I enjoy and follow numerous writing blogs, decorating blogs, photography blogs and humor blogs.  I think that mine is a "day-in-the-life" blog with lots of photography.

I want to welcome my newest follower, Terry at LaBella Vie .  I am so happy to have you!  I really appreciate all of the comments that you guys are leaving on here.  It encourages me a lot.

Thank you to Lady Katherine at Lady Katherine's Tea Parlor for hosting Tea Time Tuesday!
